But he doesn't even look at them.
Further down the street, he comes to a stop light, when a car with its windows down and several men inside stops beside him. They are listening to "Ace of Base" really loud, but even that doesn't get him to look over.
He arrives at the hospital's emergency entrance, and he walks in.

TOMSCOTT
Come on. I don't want her to see me.
ALAN
What are you so worried about? You guys have been broken up for months, who cares if she sees you.
TOMSCOTT
I can't believe she would come here, Dan is totally my acquaintance.
ALAN
I thought you said this was Bob's party.
TOMSCOTT
The point is, she only knows him through my friends.
They continue through the crowd. Tomscott looks back to make sure that his ex isn't behind him, and he bumps into a man named Grant.

Do what?

Every time we go to a party, you suck the life out of it. Nobody can have any fun when you're around... you get so serious.
MALE
That's not true. I had lots of fun...

You were talking about dying... at a party.

I couldn't help it, I already told you it's the day of the dead.

Roland's Dream
I had a dream of a stone prison
I didn't know where I was, because I could see the world outside myself. There was a transport that traveled an endless desert. It rolled across the golden sand with its deep iron tread. It lifted the sand and dropped it back onto itself like a water wheel. It would move as long as there was sand in the desert. I tried to point my focus to the burning sky, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't comprehend its dimensions. There was a pilot steering the craft in a straight line. I couldn't be sure if the pilot was also the architect of the craft. All I know
I had a dream that I went to my ex-girlfriends apartment. She had rearranged the place drastically since the last time I had been there.
She didn't seem upset when I got there. We were talking in a wooden room that I had never been in before. After a while a new crowd showed up--- mostly people in their late thirties that were trying to look young.
She left the room and was trying to be a good hostess. She was trying so hard to blend in with them, and she was ignoring me. Pretending I wasn't there.
Her apartment turned into a mansion, and even more people showed up. She was in the kitchen frantically trying to prepare dishes for them.

I found you through Ryan. Glad I did. Great works here my friend. Loved A Theory of Chaos. If I get the time I wouldn't mind pencilling it out. Pretty funny stuff. I will have to take the time and read more. Well done.
